24 Nov Ambler community joins forces for Met Christmas Appeal
This winter the Ambler community is joining forces to raise money for a wonderful local Christmas appeal that is close to our heart.
The Metropolitan Police are raising money and donating gifts for children in London who would otherwise go without over the festive period.
We have our own fundraising page for this appeal and as a community would like to contribute as much as we can. Many children in the Islington area are registered with the charity and this is our opportunity to give back to the local community.

Last year the Met donated over 17,000 presents to local children and they need our help to beat the figure this time around! The more money they receive, the more gifts they can buy for disadvantaged children in London.
Please follow this link to visit our JustGiving page and make a donation of any size you can afford. The deadline is Tuesday 12th December, so do something wonderful this winter and help us make more children smile this Christmas.
Children in primary schools across London were asked to participate in a competition to advertise the appeal. Islington and Camden’s joint entry can be seen at the top of this post, as well as below, alongside the entry from neighbouring Haringey and the overall winner from Sutton.
