Ambler family enjoy homemade feast for Eid al-Fitr holiday

03 Jul Ambler family enjoy homemade feast for Eid al-Fitr holiday

The entire Ambler family came together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr recently, enjoying a feast of delicious home-made food to mark the end of Ramadan.

The party, held on Wednesday 28th June 2017was a huge success with a great turnout and involved brilliant work from the whole community.

The important religious holiday is celebrated by Muslims worldwide at the end of the Islamic holy month of fasting. However, even those who hadn’t been abstaining from food were big fans of the chicken curry, anjera and samosas on offer, along with some lovely Moroccan tea.

The children had lots of fun with face painting, henna and cup cake decorating, as well as scaling the playground climbing strutures. Then it was time to sample the spectacular selection of cakes, with the ‘Outstanding’ sponge cake understandably popular!

Thank you to everyone that made delicious food, helped put on such wonderful activities, or contributed to setting up and tidying away. It was a great team effort and we are all very proud of our wonderful Ambler community. Please check out some of our favourite photos from the event below:
