26 Jun Celebrate Eid al-Fitr with friends from the Ambler community
This week there’s a wonderful chance to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with your friends from the Ambler community.
We’re holding a party on Wednesday 28th June 2017 from 3.30pm to 5.00pm and everyone is welcome!
Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
Please speak to our bi-lingual support workers or leave a message at the school office if you are able to volunteer to set up or serve food on the day.
If you are able to bake or bring a vegetarian dish to share it would also be much appreciated, with amazing samosas, anjera and Somali rice being provided in previous years.
As you can see below, there will be music, face-painting and henna on the day, so don’t miss out!
There’s no charge for entry but donations are encouraged and all go to benefit Ambler, so please show your appreciation and give generously.
