17 May Celebrating diversity on One World Day
We hope all our families will join us to celebrate the dazzling diversity of Ambler’s community on the upcoming One World Day.
It’s being held on Thursday 19th May from 3.30pm to 5pm and has been organised by the fantastic Friends of Ambler.
They’re asking for parents and carers to contribute by making food that represents your child’s background in some way. Some suggestions include savoury Turkish borek or delicious Caribbean patties (pictured below), but we’d welcome anything that represents your child’s particular culture!
The choice is up to you, but please remember to cook something that can be shared and that contains absolutely NO NUTS. Just drop your food off at the school office from 9am on the day itself.
Entrance to One World Day costs £1 per child and £2 for an accompanying adult, which gives access to a whole host of fun activities and great food. Children from Reception, Nursery, Toddler Room and Baby Room are also encouraged to wear their national dress to Ambler on Thursday 19th May, so they can show off their fabulous costumes from all over the globe. School children (Year One and above) can change into their national dress at the end of the day.
