Ambler’s inaugural Musical Bingo evening hit the right note recently, raising almost £1,000 for the school and Children’s Centre.

Winners received their prizes from dapper MC Quint Fontana, who broke from his entertaining banter to dish out unicorn headdresses, crazy string, comedy moustaches and pies.
Tie-breaker games included a sweet-eating contest, wrapping your partner in toilet roll to resemble a mummy, and a sensational husband-and-wife dance-off. Normally shy, sedate and responsible parents found themselves in formation performing the can-can and the Zorba the Greek wedding dance!

Top nosh was supplied by Minted Lounge and ever-popular Baban’s Naan, both on Blackstock Road. The hall was transformed into a stunning evening venue with giant bingo balls by The London Balloon Boutique.
Friends of Ambler would like to thank all the staff and parent volunteers who baked food, liaised with suppliers and local businesses, installed atmospheric lighting, served food and drink, or sold tickets. The parent-led charity are also very grateful to the professionals from It’s Unknown and the guests who danced and sang and marked their Bingo cards with such expertise!
